Playing Dress-Up

On Saturday morning, Annette picked me up and we headed to town to meet Heather for lunch at Amics. It’s in the back of “Fruits of the Spirit,” where we spent 15 minutes shopping before sitting down to eat. Amics is Mediterannean, and we decided we needed to order ALL of the sides, so as not to miss anything.

(The chick pea salad was our favorite.)

Then we wandered around the various shops, including the Cook’s Nook, where Annette picked up a few things courtesy of her gift certificate. Then it was on to Main Street Deli for pie.

Yes, we ate our way through the day, as usual.

But we did make a pit stop to try on hideous prom dresses. Annette wanted the pink one for a “Glenda the Good Witch” costume — but not at it’s 50% off price of $175. (Seriously, these dresses were hideous! And expensive, to boot. Laughable. Check out the portrait on the wall behind Heather.)

There was a dress in my size in the fitting room, so I threw that one on to pose with her.

    Annette said,

I don’t know which to be more embarrassed about! Me in my peach glory or me in grade school! Ha, ha! That was a wonderful lunch. We’ll have to get back there again.
